Expansion didn't consider fans. It considered cable subscribers.


That's the only reason Rutgers is in the Big Ten.

Also. I am either for smaller (round robin play) conferences. I'd like to have: Old SEC, Old Big Ten, SWC, Big 8, Old ACC, Old eastern football, Old Pac 10. No conference championship games.

OR, super conferences of 20-24 teams. No crossover games except for the conference championship--kinda like what the World Series was before lame interleague play.

14 teams in a conference is a bad number.
